A major and high-profile meeting has taken place in New Delhi between RSP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following the meeting held on Wednesday at the famous Hyderabad House in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi himself shared photos on social media to provide special details about the encounter.

After the special meeting at Hyderabad House, Prime Minister Modi wrote on Facebook: “Delighted to meet the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party of Nepal Mr. Rabi Lamichhane. I welcome and fully share his desire to work closely together for a shared and prosperous future. Nepal is a priority partner under our Neighbourhood First policy and we look forward to collaborating with the new government to elevate the special and multifaceted relationship between our two countries to greater heights.”

The Indian Prime Minister giving such special importance to an emerging leader of Nepal at Hyderabad House has created a new wave in diplomatic circles. This clearly indicates that India is now ready to build equally strong relations not only with Nepal’s traditional political parties but also with new political forces like Ravi Lamichhane.
