A Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Armed Police Force has been found dead, hanging alongside a young woman.
The two bodies were discovered hanging from the same tree. The deceased have been identified as Shakti Ram, a resident of Ramnagari, Bahudarmai-8, Parsa district, and Sharmila Chaudhary, 26, from Ghodaghodi Municipality-1, Kailali district.
According to DSP Rabin Bista, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Dhulikhel, Ram was posted as a Sub-Inspector at the Armed Police Force No. 15 Headquarters in Panchkhal.
Their bodies were found hanging from a mauwa tree in the Thuli Community Forest, Panchkhal Municipality-3, with a rope tied around their necks. The bodies had already decomposed significantly when discovered, leading police to believe the incident occurred several days prior. An investigation is underway.
